Every Vote Counts

The November elections are front and center, so much hinges on the results. First and foremost is the protection of freedom of speech and religious liberty. The two are intertwined. You can’t have one without the other. And the Left is focused on taking away both for good reason. They can only sell their godless, secular humanist policies to the American public in a vacuum. In the light of truth, their policies are revealed for the lies they truly are. With that in mind, it is easy to understand their attack on social media. They control the legacy media, but fortunately, some social media sites still operate free from their influence. The most pertinent example is X since it was purchased by Elon Musk and reverted to a free speech platform.

Legislators play a pivotal role by enacting laws that can either safeguard or restrict free speech and religious liberty. For example, earlier this week, Brazil banned X because Musk refused to comply with the Brazilian Marxist leaders’ demands to ban certain accounts they didn’t like. Any citizen who defies the ban can be fined the equivalent of $8900.00. Brazil is a foreign country, but many liberal elites in America would love to see the same thing happen here. Leftist Minnesota Attorney General and former Deputy Chair of the Democratic Party Keith Ellison praised the despotic move of the Brazilian government when he tweeted, “Obrigado Brasil,” which in English means, “Thanks Brazil.” Whether you use X or not is not the issue. Free speech is the issue. Without free speech, you don’t have religious liberty. Without religious liberty, we won’t have the freedom to preach and practice the whole counsel of God. The solution is simple. We must elect leaders with a strong biblical worldview who protect free speech and religious liberty.

That goal could be readily achieved if the estimated 25 million Christians who typically don’t vote in presidential elections would vote. For those in your congregations who say their vote doesn’t count, tell them about Iowa’s US 2nd District Congressional Race in 2020. Out of 394,625 votes cast, Republican Mariannette-Miller Meeks won by only six votes!
